Lee Martin racing blog: BRCA 2019 Round 2

Round 2 of the BRCA nationals is complete and it was another good event! My scorpion powered Yokomo YZ-2CAL2 was again on fire on the demanding little track of Kidderminster RC. The Astro and tarmac off road track is very technical and requires precise throttle input that was achieved from the Vanguard ESC. A 6.5t motor gave the power to secure the overall TQ! The finals were extremely close and I just missed out on the win. TQ and 2nd overall is still great scoring towards the championship! 4wd was again extremely close, with the best times of many drivers only separated by 1-2 seconds. The track was a lot faster than the 2wd layout and horse power was needed! I would qualify 2nd, but a coming together with another driver would lose me the chance to stay there and I finished 3rd overall. A weekend of podiums is always a good weekend with our national level being so high! Thanks to Scorpion for providing the smooth power that’s needed to compete at the top end!
