NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT! - A-Series Scorpion A-3017

16.09.2022

The Scorpion A - Series line of motors was designed to be the most optimal and premier choice of motor for your freestyle or UAV airplane.

The A-3017 motor is designed for the 48” class of freestyle planes or other 30-32E class of planes.  It is such a great size. There are manufactures from airplane companies such as Skywing, Extreme Flight, Sebart, HobbyKing, QQ designs. Any of the hobby planes in the 30-32E class would do great with the appropriate battery and a 13x6E prop.

The A-3017 size motors swings a 12x6 – 13x6 prop beautifully, and up to 14x6 depending on customer use case.  We have 3 x KV options, 560,600, 920kv.

One interesting new aspect of our design is that unlike most motors on the market, who choose one motor / magnet design, and then only change the windings to achieve different KV's (which usually provides one KV range with good results, and average results for the other KV ranges).  On the A - series motors we looked at each kv / power range individually. We choose the most optimal magnetic design for each individual kv and implemented it, so that each KV version has the best possible Performance and Efficiency .

The 560kv is for sport fliers with 6s 1400-2600mah (or larger with sport planes)

Acrobatic Weight Range (560kv) - 1.3kg - 1.9kg (46oz - 67oz)

Sport / UAV (single engine) Weight Range (560kv) - 2.3kg - 4.6kg  (81.1oz - 162oz)

600kv is the premier choice for 6s 1400-1800mah battery. (or larger with sport planes)

Acrobatic Weight Range (600kv) - 1.3kg - 2.18kg (46oz - 77oz)

Sport / UAV (single engine) Weight Range (600kv) - 2.3kg - 5.03kg  (81.1oz - 177.6oz)

920kv is premier choice for 4s 2200-2800mah battery. (or larger with sport planes)
